In addition to being the lead vocalist of Sheriff, he was also a songwriter and musician, playing keyboards, guitar, and drums. Curci started his music career in the late 1970s, forming a band named Heart Attack. In 1982, he co-founded Sheriff with guitarist Steve DeMarchi. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1982, which featured their hit single "When I'm With You." After the band disbanded in 1985, Curci pursued a solo career and formed another band called Alias, which also had a hit single titled "More Than Words Can Say" in 1990. Curci is regarded as one of Canada's most talented and recognized vocalists.
